There’s a critical point that social media efforts reach, where managing profiles on different sites, responding to followers, and generating conversation becomes a lot of work. Even the most seasoned social media strategists need help organizing it all, so here are some of our favorite tools for making life just a little bit easier…
HootSuite
HootSuite has evolved from purely a Twitter management tool, to one that encompasses other social networking sites like Facebook, Ping.fm, and LinkedIn. Schedule updates, track metrics, and see what others are saying about your brand all from the web.
TweetDeck
A desktop application, TweetDeck offers the user management over four of the big sites – Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, and MySpace – plus others as well. Send out updates, and post photos, videos, and more.
Ping.fm
A web-based service, Ping.fm brings you the ability to post to a whole slew of different social sites all from one location. They now offer some measurement tools as well, such as link visits, referrals, unique visits, etc.
SocialOomph
Formerly known as TweetLater, SocialOomph changed to their present name when the decided to broaden their scope beyond Twitter. They offer the ability to schedule tweets, track predetermined keywords, vet your followers, manage multiple accounts, and more.
What tools are you using to monitor and simplify your conversations and updates?

Your blog keeps getting better and better! Your older articles are not as good as newer ones you have a lot more creativity and originality now. Keep it up!
And according to this article, I totally agree with your opinion, but only this time!

I definitely prefer HootSuite to SocialOomph, at least for scheduling updates. It’s cheaper and let’s you post over multiple accounts which is pretty cool.

@Matt – Hootsuite is definitely a front runner when it comes to management across different platforms. And on a personal note – it’s just nicer to look at, than a lot of the other dashboards! Thanks for reading Matt:)
